any contenders for state titles?

**beamer_ball** · May 15th, 2011, 07:54 PM

Forrest Stuart most certainly in the 110 hurdles and long jump. Stuart won the hurdles title last year. Maybe Schoolcraft for the girls in the shot put.

Region-wise, there's a few others on the boys side that have good shots, especially from the CMD...Lebanon's Kaylynn Cobb (200m), Lebanon's Bradley Rasnake (800m & 1600m), Virginia High's Nik Huffman (discus and shot put), and TW's Cody Cain (high jump and 200m). Lee's Caleb Bledsoe could have a decent shot at the 400m title too. Not sure if Lee's 4x100 relay team will be up there again (finished 2nd last year) but with a good outing they could possibly push for it again. Cobb, Cain, and Lee's Dylan Anders could place well in the 100m dash again. Lee's Tyler Graham ran well last year in the 100m, seems he got a late start in it this year and just now getting the times low but I wouldn't be surprised if he were to turn it up and finish well. For the girls, Coeburn's Heather Maples (Discus) and Twin Valley's Katie Jo Lester (high jump) might have the best shots. Lester won the high jump title last season. Gate City's Morgan Gose was putting up some good times in the 100m hurdles early on along with some other events, she wasn't in the CMD meet this Friday so not sure if she's hurt or what there.
